The Ottawa Senators will try to snap a three-game losing streak after a 4-1 loss to Columbus in their last game. Brady Tkachuk leads the Sens in scoring with 44 points including 20 goals and 24 assists while Drake Batherson has 34 points with a team-high 21 assists and Josh Norris has 34 points with a team-high 24 goals on the year. Tim Stutzle also has 35 points with 13 goals and 22 assists. Matt Murray’s posted a 5-11-2 mark with a 2.78 GAA and a .917 save percentage between the pipes for Ottawa while Anton Forsberg is 11-8-2 with a 2.79 GAA and a .917 save percentage this season.
Philadelphia is 20-53 in their last 73 games as an underdog and 7-19 in their last 26 games on no rest while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. Ottawa is 2-9 in their last 11 home games and 2-8 in their last 10 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games as a favorite.
I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m looking at the over. I think this is one of those spots where both teams can score, but the defense on both sides leaves a lot to be desired. Give me the over in a 4-3 game at the very least.
