The Colorado Avalanche and the Buffalo Sabres meet in NHL action from the KeyBank Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Colorado Avalanche will look to build on a 2-0 win over Vegas in their last game. Nazem Kadri leads the Avs in scoring with 62 points including a team-high 42 assists while Gabriel Landeskog has 49 points and Cale Makar has 49 points with Landeskog logging 23 goals and 26 assists while Makar has 18 goals with 31 apples and Devon Toews has a team-best +37 plus/minus rating. Mikko Rantanen has a team-high 25 goals as well as 56 points of his own and Nathan MacKinnon has 46 points with 10 goals and 36 assists this season. Darcy Kuemper has gone 24-5-2 with a 2.38 GAA and a .921 save percentage this season in goal for Colorado.

The Buffalo Sabres will try to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to Buffalo last time out. Tage Thompson leads the Sabres in scoring with 34 points including 16 goals while Rasmus Dahlin also has 32 points with a team-high 24 assists and Jeff Skinner has 34 points with a team-high 20 goals. Kyle Okposo also has 27 points with 11 goals and 16 apples this season. Dustin Tokarski’s gone 5-6-4 with a 3.30 GAA and a .903 save percentage in goal for Buffalo while Ukko-Pekka Luokkonen is 2-5-2 with a 2.74 GAA and a .917 save percentage and Aaron Dell is 1-8-1 with a 4.03 GAA and an .893 save percentage.

Colorado is 67-24 in their last 91 games overall and 43-21 in their last 64 games as a road favorite while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall. Buffalo is 16-37 in their last 53 home games and 25-64 in their last 89 games overall while the under is 8-1-1 in their last 10 games against the Central division.

I get the case to be made either way here as this is a massive price tag, but the Avs are the far better team here. With that said, I think this is a game that’s going to be a lot more low-scoring than you’d think. Colorado’s played in some low-scoring games as of late and Buffalo I think is going to have some issues. I could see a 3-2 or 4-1 game here, but at worst I think we’d get a push here.
