Leonard Floyd and Von Miller having success winning their pass-rush reps

When you play off the edge on either side for the Los Angeles Rams, you typically have a lot of one-on-one matchups with Aaron Donald garnering tons of attention on the interior. While Leonard Floyd and Von Miller benefit from having Donald double-teamed, they are both winning their pass-rush reps this season.

Of course, Miller hasn’t been with the Rams for the entire season, so these numbers aren’t reflective of his stint with Los Angeles. But with Miller in the latter part of his career, it’s still impressive to see him among the league’s best at pass-rush win rate.

As you can see on the chart below, Miller and Floyd are winning about 20% of their pass-rush reps and are only being doubled about 10-12% of the time.

In his first three games with the Rams, Miller has logged nine combined tackles, three tackles for loss, and one pass deflection. The All-Pro edge rusher is still searching for his elusive first sack as a member of the Rams.

Meanwhile, Floyd is on his way to having a career year in the pass-rushing department. With five games remaining, Floyd has eight sacks (2.5 sacks behind his career-high of 10.5 sacks in 2020), five tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.

As we can see from the graphic above, Miller and Floyd aren’t seeing multiple guys blocking them very often. And even though they aren’t getting home for sacks on a consistent basis in recent weeks, Miller and Floyd are performing well from a pass-rush win rate standpoint.

Fans of the Rams are hoping that Miller and Floyd can wreak havoc on Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals in a crucial NFC West matchup on Monday Night Football this week.
