The Winnipeg Jets extended their winning streak to 10 games with a dramatic 2-1 overtime victory over the San Jose Sharks on February 24, 2025, at Canada Life Center. Despite trailing for most of the game, the Jets managed to tie it up in the final minute before securing the win in overtime. Josh Morrissey scored the tying goal with 26 seconds left, while Mark Scheifele netted the game-winner just 1:33 into overtime. Connor Hellebuyck made 16 saves in net for Winnipeg, while Vitek Vanecek was stellar for the Sharks, stopping 33 shots.

William Eklund had given San Jose a 1-0 lead in the first period with a power-play goal. Despite outshooting the Sharks 20-14 in regulation, the Jets struggled to break through Vanecek’s strong goaltending. Scheifele’s overtime goal, his 329th career goal, moved him past Ilya Kovalchuk for first in Jets/Thrashers history.

The Jets next face the Ottawa Senators on February 26, while the Sharks head to Montreal to take on the Canadiens on February 27.
