Georgia Bulldogs vs. Ole Miss Rebels

Saturday, November 09, 2024 – 03:30 PM ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium

Can Ole Miss Pull Off The Upset?

The Ole Miss Rebels pounced on Arkansas with a 63-31 road victory. The 63 points were invigorating, but the defenses allowing 31 points was questionable.

Of course, with how many points Ole Miss scored, there were many possessions.

After all, Jaxson Dart threw for 515 yards and six touchdowns without throwing an interception. Despite playing without Tre Harris, he also completed all but six passes in the game.

Ole Miss’ offense, at home, is good enough to upset Georgia.

Georgia Isn’t As Advertised

We can sit there and talk about how Georgia defeated Florida 34-20 last week. But it was so much closer than a 14-point win. Florida held Georgia to six points and no touchdowns in the first half of last week’s game in Jacksonville.

The Gators also earned three interceptions against Carson Beck and tied the game 20-20 in the fourth quarter.

Georgia already has a loss to Alabama this year and hasn’t looked all that mighty. There’s a lot of parity in college football this season. This could be another matchup that goes down to the wire.

I’ll grab the home team and the points. Ole Miss is red hot offensively, while the Bulldogs are everything but.

NCAAF Pick: Ole Miss +3.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. LSU Tigers

Saturday, November 09, 2024 – 07:30 PM ET at Tiger Stadium

A Night Game In Death Valley

The Alabama Crimson Tide will have to head to LSU for a night game in one of the most exhilarating venues in college football.

That won’t be easy.

While Alabama is coming off a dominant win against Missouri, the Crimson Tide also played against a backup quarterback who made a mistake after mistake in that game.

While Garrett Nussmeier of LSU also makes many mistakes at home, it’s way more unlikely he’ll fall into poor decisions as much as he did in the last game against Texas A&M.

LSU’s Defense Will Be Prepared

The LSU Tigers turned its defense around starting in the second half against South Carolina. However, it faltered again when Marcell Reed joined the game two weeks ago against LSU.

LSU wasn’t prepared for a running quarterback, and Reed ultimately ran all over the Tigers in the comeback victory.

This week, LSU will prepare for Jalen Milroe and also for backups. It was the new defensive coordinator’s first mistake during his time with the Tigers, and that won’t happen again.

Take LSU at +2 at home. LSU rarely loses night games at home.

NCAAF Pick: LSU +2 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Washington Huskies vs. Penn State Nittany Lions

Saturday, November 09, 2024 – 08:00 PM ET at Beaver Stadium

Washington Is On The Road!

The Washington Huskies haven’t lost at home this season. But they’re also 5-4 on the year.

The Huskies have dropped games on the road that they should’ve won and play uncharacteristically when away from home.

Ultimately, Washington’s special teams haven’t been up to par. The pass rush also has been ineffective at times. Look for Penn State to bounce back in a big way. They’ll run very well against Washington, and that’ll help open up the passing game.

Penn State’s Bounce Back Incoming

The Penn State Nittany Lions have had trouble beating Ohio State and Michigan almost every season. But when they’re not playing those two teams, Penn State is extremely hard to beat, especially at home.

The Nittany Lions will, again, win the special teams battle. The squad is also much better at stopping the run and should ultimately add more third and long situations where the defense can get off the field.

Take Penn State -13.5. They’ll be prepared after last week’s wake-up call.

NCAAF Pick: Penn State -13.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
