The Texas Rangers will welcome back Max Scherzer for tonight’s game. He was on the sideline with a herniated disc injury but is healthy enough to return tonight. The Mariners don’t have a ton of lefties, but they’ll have five. Two of which have added a lot of power against righties over the last month. Scherzer definitely won’t leave this game unscathed.
Logan Gilbert’s Dominant Second Half
The Mariners will ride Logan Gilbert for another start. The right-hander has held his last 123 batters to a .256 wOBA. He’s also accumulated 34.1% of strikeouts and has kept walks below 5%.
Gilbert will be in line to face a Rangers offense that has hit a .133 ISO and wOBA of .308 with almost 21% of strikeouts and just 6.5% of walks.
He’ll have a solid night on the mound.
