Last year, it was 15. This year, it’ll be 17. Apparently the Colorado Avalanche are a team that people around the country want to watch.
It helps when you have the reigning Hart Trophy winner on your team, I guess.
The spread is pretty even between TNT and the ESPN family, as TNT will broadcast nine games featured Colorado this season, while ESPN will have eight. There is one catch, though. For the folks local in Denver, four of these 17 games won’t actually be visible on the national broadcast, as they’ll be blacked out due to the game being televised locally on Altitude. I know those games are incredibly frustrating for fans, especially ones that don’t have access to Altitude right now, but for whatever reason, they exist.
Here are the nine games scheduled to be shown on TNT, with an asterisk next to the ones that are blacked out locally.
Oct. 9 at Vegas – TNT
Oct. 16 vs. Boston – TNT
Nov. 13 vs. Los Angeles – TNT
Nov. 27 vs. Vegas – TNT*
Nov. 29 at Dallas – TNT
Jan. 8 at Chicago – TNT*
March 16 vs. Dallas – TNT*
