It’s been a good year to be a Dallas sports fan — unless you’re a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys have been the odd man out among Dallas sports teams over the past year. The Texas Rangers are the reigning World Series champions. The Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars are both playing in their respective conference finals — something the Cowboys haven’t done in nearly three decades.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was recently asked about the postseason success other Dallas teams have achieved. The 3-time Pro Bowler told reporters that he welcomes the added pressure the other teams have placed on the Cowboys.
“It’s not jealousy, but it fires you up,” Prescott said during OTAs earlier this week. “I want it for them. Go win it. Rangers did it. Other two go do it. Put more f—ing pressure on us.”
Prescott and his camp are in the midst of contract negotiations with the Cowboys. But the 30-year-old has made it clear that money is the furthest thing from being his focus.
The Cowboys managed to win the NFC East last season and appeared to be one of the favorites to make the NFC Championship Game heading into the playoffs. However, Dallas was surprisingly upset by the upstart Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round.
