Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics

Wednesday, April 23, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at TD Garden

The AI Model only thinks the Heat will lose to the Celtics, 108-99. That’s a nine-point differential, but Bet365 is carrying the Heat at +14.5. That’s a lot of cushion for the Heat per the AI Model.

Miami’s Defensive Struggles Won’t Continue

The Miami Heat struggled against the Celtics in the first game of the series. Without Jimmy Butler, they didn’t have many players to rely on, so the Heat lost to the Celtics by 20 points.

However, Miami held the Celtics to no more than 26 points in two quarters. They just came out super flat in the third quarter, which hurt their chances of winning. Typically, the defense is stronger, and the Heat will make adjustments to at least limit the Celtics better in Game 2.

The Heat Can Still Score!

The Heat shot a 55% effective field goal percentage. They’ll need to be better on the offensive glass and also will need to find ways to get to the foul line more.

However, with all that said, the Heat didn’t struggle to score the basketball. In the last five games, Miami has shot an effective field goal percentage of at least 54.5% in four of five games.

The Pick

I’m with the AI Model. The Heat are getting way too many points in Game 2.

NBA Pick: Heat +14.5 (-110) at Bet365
