Johnny Manziel has managed to develop a sense of humor when it comes to his disastrous Cleveland Browns tenure, as evidenced by his response to a viral stat involving him.

Jason Lloyd of The Athletic pointed out during Thursday night’s Browns win that Joe Flacco is already within 72 yards of passing Manziel’s Browns career total. Manziel’s 1,675 passing yards are still good enough for 31st all-time in Browns franchise history, but Flacco has already moved up to 33rd in just five games.

The viral stat garnered the attention of Manziel on social media, who clearly had no problem with the prospect of Flacco surpassing him. Manziel’s response: “Some records were meant to be broken.”

Manziel was a much-hyped first-round pick in 2014, but he was out of the league after two seasons amid off-field issues and a lack of dedication to his career. He appears to have come to terms with it.

Flacco ultimately did not pass Manziel’s mark on Thursday. He needs 60 more yards to do it, which he should manage easily if he plays any meaningful time in the Browns’ season finale against Cincinnati.
