The internet went off on the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receivers for their (many) awful drops in Monday night’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kansas City fell 21-17 at home to the NFL-leading Eagles in a Super Bowl 57 rematch. Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropped a go-ahead touchdown with 1:43 remaining, and Justin Watson dropped a beautiful pass from Patrick Mahomes on 4th-and-25 that ended the game.
Fans and analysts ripped the Chiefs’ pass-catchers for their brutal drops that proved costly in the four-point defeat.
With the loss, the defending Super Bowl champs fell to 8-3 on the year. They are now tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the conference’s top seed, while the Eagles improved to 9-1.
