Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is making a change as the Miami Dolphins are coming off a bye week.
Tagovailoa, the former star quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide, showed up to a press conference this week rocking cornrows.
The Miami Dolphins quarterback emerged from the bye week wearing his curly hair in cornrows and fans went crazy about him looking like world-renowned rapper Drake.
When asked about his new appearance on Wednesday, he smirked.
“The hair?” Tagovailoa said, “Oh, yeah, got them done last week. My hair was outrageous, so I thought if I didn’t braid it, or if it wasn’t long enough, then I’d just cut it. So I just thought I’d get it braided.”
So far this year, Tua has led the Dolphins to a 6-3 record and top spot in the AFC East at the midway point of the season and is tied with Josh Allen for an NFL-best 19 passing touchdowns. He is also second in passer rating, third in yards passing, and is averaging 8.5 yards per attempt.
Tagovailoa is in some MVP conversations for the second straight season. He is currently on pace for just under 5,000 yards for the year which would be a career high for him. Dan Marino is the current holder for passing yards in a season with 5,084 yards.
Tua has already thrown 7 interceptions this year. He is currently on pace for 13 for the year.
Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins battle the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
