PICKWISE

The 2023 NFL regular season is officially in full swing, and we’ve got another great slate on Sunday. Why not celebrate by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, NFL edition.

We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our NFL picks for the side and total on every NFL game and all the latest NFL odds.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers ML (+160)

Las Vegas Raiders ML (+176)

New England Patriots ML (+220)

Parlay odds: +2196

Let’s break down each of the legs:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers ML (+160)

Give me Baker Mayfield to start our parlay! The Bucs have been one of the best stories in football, and I don’t think their 2-1 start is any fluke. Their only loss is to the Eagles who once again look like Super Bowl contenders, and they looked pretty impressive in their win over the Vikings. New Orleans, on the other hand, has looked fraudulent to me despite a 2-1 record. The Saints’ wins were against the lowly Titans and Panthers, and they came by a combined 4 points.

The Saints haven’t topped 20 points yet this season, and now they’re down their starting quarterback. Derek Carr will likely miss this one with a shoulder injury, meaning Jameis Winston is set to get his first real action in a while. In case you forgot what happened last time Winston went up against a Todd Bowles defense, just last season, he threw 3 interceptions and took 6 sacks.

Las Vegas Raiders ML (+176)

Any time you can fade the Chargers when they’re a significant favorite, it’s tempting. They consistently seems to underperform whenever they’re expected to cruise, and the Raiders are going to be just as hungry as they both look to avoid a 1-3 start. The Chargers are already pretty banged up (stop me if you’ve heard this one before), and they just lost WR Mike Williams for the season due to a torn ACL. That means they’re going to be relying on a rookie to play a very big role, since I don’t think 31-year-old Keenan Allen is capable of shouldering any more of the load than he is already.

Brandon Staley’s defense hasn’t just not made progress from last year, it appears they’ve regressed. Khalil Mack is a shell of his former self and pretty much a non-factor, and the extremely high-paid cornerback JC Jackson just found himself a healthy scratch. Things are a bit of a mess on that side of the ball, and I expect Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo to bounce back from a tough couple of games against very good Steelers and Bills defenses.

New England Patriots ML (+220)

To wrap up this mega parlay we’ll need Mac Jones and the Patriots to pull off an upset of the Cowboys. Dallas lost outright as a 13-point favorite against the Cardinals last week, so the Cowboys clearly aren’t immune to upsets. Everyone was ready to declare them playoff-bound after a 2-0 start, but it’s important to remember that those wins came against Daniel Jones and Zach Wilson. The defense dominated Jones and Wilson so much that Dak Prescott had to do very little, but that wasn’t the case last week.

Josh Dobbs and the Cardinals ended up giving the Dallas defense a little trouble, and Prescott crumbled when he had to step up. The Cowboys mustered only 16 points against Arizona and they got shredded on the ground, allowing the Cards to rack up more than 7 yards per carry. If the Pats are able to run the ball and neutralize Micah Parsons and the Dallas pass-rush, this game could go down to the wire.

Jones is slowly getting more comfortable in Bill O’Brien’s offense, and it’s already clear that BOB is a huge upgrade over Matt Patricia. New England is 1-2, but the losses were to the Dolphins and Eagles, and both were heartbreakers that were decided in the final minute.
