The course is new to everyone in the field, but players on the playoff bubble will have the challenge of tackling a new layout while having to put four rounds of solid golf together. The 27-hole private golf club was established in 1987.

Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the layout, and the venue plays as a par-72 that can stretch up to 7,200 yards. The course features multiple tee boxes on each hole, and there is water that comes into play on seven of the 18 holes in play this week.

The property adds tree-lined fairways and well-placed fairway bunkers to demand accuracy off the tee. The green complexes are subtly contoured, another one of Jones’ signature additions.

The Magnit Championship Field

Ben Kohles has already locked up his PGA Tour card for next season, but the no. 2 ranked player on the KFT points list highlights the field this week as he aims to get one more tune-up before the playoffs. Rico Hoey, another future KFT graduate and ranked no. three on the points list is also in action this week.

Last week’s KFT winner, Alejandro Tosti, tees it up this week, looking to go for back-to-back victories. Another recent winner, Pierceson Coody, joins Tosti hoping to carry recent momentum into the playoffs.

Players currently on the bubble in the field this week include Austin Eckroat (no. 155), Cole Hammer (no. 156), Ross Steelman (no. 157), and Dawie van der Walt (no. 158).

Magnit Championship Betting Favorites

Rookie KFT golfer Adrien Dumont de Chassart (+1600) is the early betting favorite heading into the first round of action. The former University of Illinois star turned pro following the conclusion of his collegiate career earlier this season and comes in ranked 7th on the points list.

Tosti (+1800) is following closely behind after his win last week at the Pinnacle Bank Championship. Nicholas Lindeim (+2000) looks to close out a fantastic regular season that has included one win along with five top-10 finishes as he tries to get back onto the PGA Tour.

Chris Gotterup (+2200) and Coody (+2500) round out the top five betting favorites. Gotterup is searching for his first victory of the season and comes in sitting 35th on the points list, just outside the top 30. The Tour-bound Coody can add another trophy to his resume with a win.
