Jones and the Chiefs have been discussing a contract extension with the goal of having one in place before training camp.

Following the 2023 NFL Draft, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said Jones’ extension is “on the list of things to do.”

Jones was a key piece of Kansas City’s Super Bowl LVII run. He posted career highs of 15.5 sacks and 29 quarterback hits in 2022.
