After being unable to find a trade partner, the Arizona Cardinals have released their star WR DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins still had 2 years left on his contract. 

Due to his $30.75 million cap hit, it was obvious the Cardinals were going to struggle to find someone to take on his massive deal. 

In 2020, Hopkins was traded to the Cardinals. He formed a strong connection with quarterback Kyler Murray and became a focal point of the Cardinals' offense. Hopkins' elite playmaking ability and reliable hands made him a primary target for Murray, and he contributed significantly to the team's passing attack.

Hopkins is known for his versatility, excelling at catching contested passes, running precise routes, and gaining yards after the catch.

Here are 3 potential landing spots for Hopkins:

1. Indianapolis Colts

Besides Michael Pittman Jr., the Colts WR depth chart is lacking. Indy was rumored to be a potential landing spot when the Texans were moving Hopkins. Though the Colts have a rookie QB in Anthony Richardson, Hopkins could be the missing piece in their offense.

2. Buffalo Bills

This destination seems like the most logical spot for Hopkins. He could team up with Stefon Diggs, providing QB Josh Allen with one of, if not, the best WR tandem in the NFL. But would Diggs be ok with losing targets?

3. New York Jets

The Jets brought in QB Aaron Rodgers. Time to bring in a star wide reciever for him. Not a knock on Garrett Wilson who put up phenomenal numbers in his rookie season. If the Jets were able to land Hopkins, Corey Davis is likely to be traded or cut.
