The Edmonton Oilers try to knot their 1st-round series up against the Los Angeles Kings Sunday in Game 4 at Crypto.com Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (TNT). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Oilers vs. Kings odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.
Series: Kings lead 2-1
Connor McDavid emerged with his 1st 2 goals of the series in Game 3, but that was all Kings G Joonas Korpisalo would allow. The Kings broke through in overtime to win 3-2 and hold serve at home. Edmonton outshot the Kings 40-31 and went 2-for-4 on the power play, but the tight-checking Kings wouldn’t break.
LW Trevor Moore ended Game 3 just over 3 minutes into OT. The Kings had 47 hits to Edmonton’s 40 as this has been the tight-checking battle we expected it to be. Even with a 2-1 lead and home-ice advantage, the Kings are just -110 to win the series.

Oilers at Kings Game 4 projected goalies
Stuart Skinner (29-14-5, 2.75 GAA, .914 SV%, 1 SO – reg. season) vs Joonas Korpisalo (18-14-4, 2.87 GAA, .915 SV%, 1 SO – reg. season)
Skinner was solid again in Game 3 with 28 saves on 31 shots. He has a 2.80 GAA and .900 SV% in the series. His play hasn’t really been a factor either way in this series. It’s the Kings’ smothering defense keeping the Oilers at bay and Skinner’s counterpart that are the stories.
Korpisalo has been the best player in this series. And that’s not easy to say with 2 of the best players in the world on the other side. He has a 2.53 GAA and .931 SV% in 3 games. He has stopped 108 of the 116 shots he has seen. The only question is can he keep it up?
Oilers at Kings Game 4 picks and predictions
Prediction
Oilers 3, Kings 2
Moneyline
The Oilers are 7-1 in their last 8 road games. The favorite is also 36-15 in the last 51 meetings. The Oilers find a way. They are too talented, and there is too much noise about McDavid’s past playoff defeats on the forefront. The Kings are getting a lot of little breaks, and they have spent a ton of energy keeping Edmonton off the scoreboard.
Take the OILERS -160 for a HALF-UNIT.
Puck line/Against the spread
Two of the 3 games have been decided by a single goal in the series thus far. I think the same holds true in this game. I’m just not keen on paying -185 for the Kings to keep it within 1 goal.
PASS.
Over/Under
The Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and 4-1 in the last 5 in LA. The Under is 4-1 in the Kings’ last 5 overall and their last 5 conference quarterfinals games. The Under is 5-1 in the Oilers’ last 6 against teams that had a winning record.
Take the UNDER 6.5 (-120).
