The regular season hasn’t even started yet, but the Los Angeles Rams are already seeing the benefits of adding Allen Robinson to the offense. Sean McVay, Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford have all raved about his talent on the field, as well as his work ethic off it.
During a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, Kupp talked about how big Robinson has been for the Rams throughout the summer with Week 1 approaching.
“He looks really good. He’s been huge for us this offseason,” Kupp said. “It’s been incredible to see him work, find his niche and find how he’s gonna fit into things and his ability to run all the routes and do all the things he wants to do in this offense, all things Coach asks receivers to do, he’s not only willing but he is able. I’m really excited for him and his mentality has been great. He’s been a great addition as a sounding board for me even to run ideas by him, talk football with. It’s been a lot of fun.”
Robinson will take pressure and attention away from Kupp when the Rams offense is on the field, being another No. 1-type receiver for Los Angeles. Not that Robert Woods and Odell Beckham Jr. didn’t do that, as well, but Robinson is a legitimate No. 1 target who should have a huge year with the Rams.
And on the flip side, Robinson should benefit from having the triple crown winner on the field with him, also making life difficult for opposing defenses.
