The Oakland A’s and the Baltimore Orioles meet in MLB action from Camden Yards on Friday night.

The Oakland A’s will look to rebound from a 7-5 loss to Washington to close out their series last time out. Sheldon Neuse has 55 hits with 24 RBIs and a .216 batting average while Sean Murphy has 112 hits with 30 doubles and 17 home runs with 58 RBIs. Seth Brown’s also got a team-high of 17 home runs and 51 RBIs with 22 doubles as well this season. JP Sears will start here and is 5-1 with a 2.28 ERA and 26 strikeouts this season.

The Baltimore Orioles will attempt to build on their 3-0 win over the Guardians from Thursday’s series finale. Anthony Santander has a team-high 24 home runs and 74 RBIs. Austin Hays also has 111 hits with 29 doubles, 54 RBIs and a .252 batting average as well on the year. Cedric Mullins also has 131 hits with 29 doubles, 12 homers and 50 RBIs as well this season. Ryan Mountcastle also has 19 home runs and 67 RBIs as well this season. Dean Kremer will start here and is 6-4 with a 3.24 ERA and 62 strikeouts this season.

Oakland is 17-35 in their last 52 games following a loss and 8-17 in their last 25 games overall while the under is 8-1 in their last 9 games against the AL East. Baltimore is 13-3 in their last 16 games against the AL West and 20-7 in their last 27 home games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a win.

I get the reasoning for backing the A’s here as Sears hasn’t been bad and I also understand taking Baltimore because they’ve been so good at home and Kremer’s showing a lot of improvement this season. However, I’m looking at the under as Baltimore’s been in a lot of low-scoring games this season and while the A’s play better on the road, there’s no ignoring that this is still one of the worst offenses in all of baseball.
