The Colorado Avalanche and the Tampa Bay Lightning meet in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals in NHL action from the Amalie Arena on Sunday.

The Colorado Avalanche will have another crack at closing out the series after a 3-2 loss in game 5 last time out. Cale Makar leads the Avs in scoring with 29 points including a team-high 21 assists while Nathan MacKinnon has 22 points with a team-high 12 goals and 10 assists. Mikko Rantanen has 25 points with 20 assists of his own and Gabriel Landeskog’s got 21 points with 11 goals of his own and 10 apples.  Darcy Kuemper’s gone 9-4 in the net for Colorado this postseason with a 2.68 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Pavel Francouz has also gone 6-0 with a 2.81 GAA and a .906 save percentage this season.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will try to force a game seven with a win in this one. Nikita Kucherov leads the Bolts in scoring with 27 points including a team-high 19 assists while Ondrej Palat has 20 points with a team-high 11 goals and 9 apples. Victor Hedman has 19 points and Steven Stamkos has 18 points with Stamkos logging 10 goals while Hedman has 16 assists so far in the postseason. Andrei Vasilevskiy will make the start here and has gone 14-8 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.54 GAA this postseason.

Colorado is 59-21 in their last 80 games overall and 9-3 in their last 12 Sunday games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Tampa Bay is 12-5 in their last 17 games overall and 42-20 in their last 62 Sunday games while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 home games.

I get the case to be made for either side in this one, but I’m looking towards the under here. There’s just too much at stake for both sides for either to have a mental lapse and give the other side many opportunities and I could see a replica to what we saw in game five in a 3-2 game either way. Give me the under here.
