Last season, Butker was 25-of-28 on field goals and 47-of-49 on extra points in 16 games played. His long field goal attempt of 56 yards tied for sixth in the NFL. He also had 93 kickoffs for over 5,800 yards with 61 touchbacks on the year. It’s interesting to see Butker so highly regarded by Madden this year, given that in 2020 he had some significant inconsistency issues with extra points. He continues to produce, but the Chiefs’ high-powered offense hasn’t allowed him to exceed thirty field goal attempts since 2019.
Another interesting note: Four of the top-5 kickers in Madden this year play in the AFC conference and three of them come from the AFC North division.
