MLB All-Star Game picks and predictions
Prediction
AL 4, NL 2
Money line
BET AL 105TO WIN 0.7 UNITS.
There wasn’t much thought put into this coin-flip game since, as mentioned, the AL has dominated lately.
The AL’s run of winning 8 in a row and 20 of 24 is a trend hard to ignore.
Run line/Against the spread
BET 0.3 UNITS ON AL -1.5160).
Six of the victories during the AL’s current 8-game win streak have been by 2 or more runs.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 7.5107TO WIN 0.5 UNITS.
I have loved playing Unders in these All-Star Games for years. There was no sweating last year’s “strongest play” of Under 11 (-115) with the AL coming out on top 5-2.
The Under is 12-2-1 in the past 15 All-Star Games.
Tuesday’s 5 p.m. PT start will benefit pitchers as the setting sun will make things tough for batters.
However, Tuesday’s O/U line is a seemingly low 7.5.
I still like it and I’m still suggesting it, but this isn’t a “strongest play” unless the line climbs to 9 – I don’t see that happening.
I am going to wait to make this play just in case the line climbs to 8.
Bonus wager
BET NO FIRST-INNING RUNS TO WIN 0.4 UNITS.
Currently, Tipico Sportsbook is not offering this line. If you can find it for -140 or less, play it.
