The Miami Marlins will attempt to build on a 2-0 win over the Mets from Sunday’s series finale to earn the series split last time out. Pittsburgh is 7-16 in their last 23 series-opening games and 46-113 in their last 159 road games while the under is 6-1-1 in their last 8 road games against a team with a losing record. Miami is 11-1 in their last 12 games against a team with a losing record and 8-3 in their last 11 games overall while the under is 5-1-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a losing record.
I get why you’d want to back either side here, as the Pirates had a solid showing against Milwaukee and Miami held their own against the Mets. That being said, I’m not looking to back either starting hurler here as Keller and Rogers have both been questionable to put it nicely this season. Instead, I’m going to side with the over here as I think both teams get to the opposing starter and we have a game that finishes in double digits close to 11 or 12 runs.
