The Seattle Mariners and the Baltimore Orioles meet in MLB action from Camden Yards on Thursday.

The Seattle Mariners will try to bounce back from a 9-2 loss to the Orioles in Thursday’s rubber match. Ty France leads the Mariners with 70 hits along with 7 home runs and 36 RBIs while Adam Frazier has 50 hits and 11 doubles. Eugenio Suarez also has 10 doubles with 9 homers of his own and 24 RBIs while J.P. Crawford has 50 hits, 5 homers and 9 doubles as well as a .298 batting average. Chris Flexen will start here and is 2-6 with a 4.47 ERA and 37 strikeouts this season.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to win the series after their big win over the M’s on Wednesday. Trey Mancini leads the Orioles with 56 hits and a .308 batting average while Anthony Santander has team-highs of 9 home runs and 29 RBIs. Austin Hays also has 52 hits with 12 doubles as well on the year. Cedric Mullins also has 50 hits with 10 doubles, 5 homers and 17 RBIs as well this season. Jordan Lyles will start this one and is 3-4 with a 4.26 ERA and 51 strikeouts this season.

Seattle is 10-22 in their last 32 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 road games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games against the AL East. Baltimore is 58-124 in their last 182 games overall and 13-39 in their last 52 Thursday games while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 game three matchups.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but Baltimore was the far better team in Wednesday’s matchup and while I rode Chris Flexen like Seabiscuit to a ton of profit last year, the reality is that that success hasn’t carried over to this season and he’s been struggling regardless of where he’s been pitching. Jordan Lyles has not been a pitcher I love to back, but he’s actually been a capable option for the O’s on the mound this season and I think he can lead the O’s to a win in this one as well.
