If you want to know about scoring touchdowns, talk to Sean McVay. That’s the approach Texas coach Steve Sarkisian is taking this summer as he attempts to gather some new ideas for the Longhorns offense.
Sarkisian said he’s going to take a trip to California soon and during that trip out west, he’s going to meet with Sean McVay and the Rams coaching staff. The goal: “See if I can find another touchdown or two,” because the Rams didn’t have much trouble scoring those last season.

The Rams ranked seventh in points scored and ninth in yards last season, the fourth time in five years that they’ve finished top-11 in points scored. The only outlier was 2020 when they finished 22nd in that category.
Texas was a high-scoring team last year, too, averaging 35.3 points per game, which was good for 19th in the country. McVay will probably pick Sarkisian’s brain while the two are together because he’s always looking for new ideas himself.
