The Philadelphia Phillies will look to bounce back from a 5-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in their series finale last time out. Bryce Harper leads the Phillies with 40 hits including 14 doubles, 9 home runs and 27 RBIs while Nick Castellanos has 36 hits with 9 doubles and 21 RBIs. Kyle Schwarber also has 9 home runs and 21 RBIs as well while Alec Bohm’s posting a .315 batting average so far this season. San Diego is 17-8 in their last 25 games overall and 8-3 in their last 11 road games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall. Philadelphia is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 home games while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games overall.

I get the case to be made for the Padres, but Clevinger didn’t look all that good in his season debut last time out and to be honest, he’s a pitcher that I’m not sure why the Padres would trade for him in the first place. Especially when you look at what they gave up in that deal. The Phillies have burned a hole in bettor’s pockets for much of the season but they just took it to the Dodgers over the course of this past weekend and I think they can get a win over a Padres team that’s had some inconsistencies as of late.
