The San Jose Sharks and the Seattle Kraken meet in NHL action from Climate Pledge Arena on Friday night.

The San Jose Sharks will look to rebound from a 5-4 OT loss to the Oilers in their last game. Timo Meier leads the Sharks in scoring with 76 points including a team-high 35 goals and 41 assists while Logan Couture has 56 points with 23 goals and 33 assists. Tomas Hertl has 64 points with 30 goals and 34 apples and Brent Burns has a team-high 44 assists this season. Adin Hill has gone 10-11-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .906 save percentage for the Sharks while James Reimer is 19-17-10 with a 2.85 GAA and a .911 save percentage this season.

The Seattle Kraken will try to snap a three-game losing skid after a 5-2 loss to Vancouver last time out. Jared McCann has 49 points with a team-high 27 goals and Yanni Gourde has 47 points with 20 goals and 27 assists while Jordan Eberle has 44 points of his own split between 21 goals and 23 assists. Vince Dunn has a team-high 28 assists as well this season. Philipp Grubauer’s seen the majority of Seattle’s action in goal going 18-31-5 with a 3.16 GAA and an .889 save percentage this season.

San Jose is 1-11 in their last 12 games following OT on the previous day and 1-6 in their last 7 Friday games while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 division games. Seattle is 4-0 in their last 4 games as a favorite and 0-5 in their last 5 games in the third game of a three game in four night situation while the over is 2-0-2 in their last 4 games as a home favorite.

I tried to get myself to pick a side here, but with two teams that have been struggling and have nothing but pride and contractual obligations to play for here, I had to side with the under. The under has hit in all three meetings between these two teams this season and I just don’t envision a ton of offensive fireworks here. Give me the under.
