The Ottawa Senators and the Philadelphia Flyers meet in NHL action from the Wells Fargo Center on Friday night.
The Ottawa Senators will look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Florida Panthers in their last game. The Philadelphia Flyers will look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets last time out. Ottawa is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record and 52-127 in their last 179 road games while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games played on no rest. Philadelphia is 1-5 in their last 6 home games and 1-6 in their last 7 games as a favorite while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games following a loss by 3 or more goals.
I suppose home ice counts for something in the line, but I have no idea why the Flyers would be favored here aside from the Senators being on the back-to-back here. Philadelphia’s been god awful for much of 2022 if not all of 2022 and maybe even the back end of 2021, while the Senators have provided value here and there and will do so here even if it’s a fade of the Flyers more than anything else.
