The Arizona Cardinals picked up the fifth-year option on quarterback Kyler Murray's rookie contract, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Murray is now guaranteed a $29.7-million salary for the 2023 season, according to Spotrac.

The move comes as no surprise, though a long-term extension between the two sides doesn't seem imminent.
