The Winnipeg Jets will look to bounce back from a 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in their last matchup. Kyle Connor leads the Jets in scoring with 54 points including a team-high 29 goals and 25 assists while Pierre-Luc Dubois has 36 points with 21 goals and 15 assists. Mark Scheifele has 40 points with 17 goals and 23 assists and Brenden Dillon also has a team-best +14 plus/minus for the Jets this season. Blake Wheeler also has a team-high 28 assists while Connor Hellebuyck has made the majority of the starts in goal for Winnipeg, going 17-17-7 with a 2.82 GAA and a .913 save percentage this season.

The Calgary Flames will look to add to a nine-game win streak after a 2-1 win over Seattle in their last game. Johnny Gaudreau leads the Flames in scoring with 63 points including a team-high 43 assists while Elias Lindholm has 48 points with 26 assists and 22 goals with Gaudreau posting a team-high +40 plus/minus rating while Lindholm has a +38 rating. Matthew Tkachuk has 24 goals and 32 assists for his 56 points while Andrew Mangiapane has 33 points and 25 goals of his own. Jacob Markstrom’s gone 22-10-5 with a 2.09 GAA and a .927 save percentage up to this point in the season in goal for Calgary.

Winnipeg is 2-6 in their last 8 road games and 7-16 in their last 23 games as an underdog while the over is 9-3 in their last 12 games as a road underdog. Calgary is 7-0 in their last 7 games as a home favorite and 11-1 in their last 12 games overall while the over is 8-1-4 in their last 13 games following a win.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m leaning towards Calgary to get the win in regulation. I think that the Jets are the more desperate team and Calgary looked vulnerable against the Kraken, but they’re still hot and I think to get the steep price down, a regulation play is a solid option.
