Former Indiana quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has committed to Washington, he announced on his Instagram page. Penix will reunite with new Huskies head coach Kalen DeBoer, who was his offensive coordinator in 2019 with the Hoosiers. Penix will have two seasons of eligibility with Washington. He announced earlier this month that he would depart Indiana.

“ALL IN!,” Penix wrote on Instagram. “GoHuskies.”

A three-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class for the Hoosiers, Penix tore his ACL as a true freshman in 2018, ending his season and giving him a medical redshirt. Penix then came back in 2019 and started in six games, before suffering another season-ending injury. Penix threw for 1,394 yards and 10 touchdowns that season.
