The Vancouver Canucks have dismissed Senior Director of Hockey Operations Jonathan Wall and assistant general manager Chris Gear, according to The Athletic's Thomas Drance.

Wall had been part of the organization for over 15 years, while Gear had been with the Canucks for over a decade. Gear had been promoted to assistant general manager in 2020.

On Thursday, the Canucks hired Jim Rutherford to be their president and interim general manager.

Earlier this week, the Canucks fired longtime GM Jim Benning and head coach Travis Green, replacing the latter with Bruce Boudreau.
