Harry Kane is out of Tottenham Hotspur's opening match of the Premier League campaign against Manchester City on Sunday.

His absence comes amid an ongoing transfer saga between the two clubs.

The striker only returned to training Friday after arriving late from a trip to the United States.

"Harry needs to work, he worked today, and he will keep on working until he is ready to help the team," Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo told Sky Sports.

"He worked in the morning, I don't know what he is going to do," he added.
