Knicks Land Nets’ Mikal Bridges In Bold Trade Proposal

NBA Analysis

It’s trade season in the NBA. The deadline is right around the corner. Some teams didn’t wait. They’ve already gotten busy making major moves.

Look at the New York Knicks. This team made one of the year’s biggest deals when they acquired O.G. Anunoby. In return, they sent RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the Toronto Raptors. Interestingly enough, the Knicks didn’t send the Raptors any draft capital.

That means they’ve still got the ammunition to make another deal. The Knicks look like dark horse contenders in 2023-24. This team could justify making another win-now move.

Could they trade for Mikal Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets?

NBA Trade Proposal

Brooklyn Nets Receive: G/F Evan Fournier, 2024 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2026 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2028 First-Round Pick (NYK)

New York Knicks Receive: G/F Mikal Bridges

With that said, most teams will hold off until deadline day to make their move. That makes sense. An NBA general manager wants to wait for the best possible deal that they can make.

That’s not the only reason. Teams also want to see how they’re performing before they make moves. They might as well give themselves as much time as possible before blowing up their roster.

On the Knicks, he should be able to find his perfect role. Bridges would be the third option behind Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle. That should allow him to refocus on defense and still function as a shot-creator. If this deal is available, the Knicks shouldn’t hesitate to make it.
