Super Wild Card Weekend has come and gone, so now it’s time to get ready for the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. It kicks off on Saturday afternoon with a showdown between the best team in the NFL (the Baltimore Ravens) and one of the hottest teams in the NFL (the Houston Texans).
The Pickswise team has been on fire with their touchdown scorer prop picks throughout this 2023 NFL campaign, so let’s keep the momentum going! Here are my best TD scorer bets for Sunday afternoon, and also be sure to check out our full Texans vs Ravens predictions.
Nico Collins, WR, HOU (+160 at DraftKings)
To say that Nico Collins has stepped up to the plate as Houston’s WR1 since Tank Dell went down would be a gross understatement. With Dell out for the year, Collins has been awesome for the Texans. The third-year receiver out of Michigan made 80 receptions for 1,297 yards and 8 touchdowns during the regular season. Five of his 8 TDs came in the last 8 games and in the finale against Indianapolis he caught all 9 of his targets for 195 yards and a score. In the Texans’ 45-14 wild-card beatdown of the Browns last weekend, Collins delivered 1 touchdown while making 6 catches for 96 yards. Baltimore’s defense is very good, but if the visitors are playing from behind – as they are expected to be doing – then they will be taking to the air early and often. The endzone is once again calling Collins.
Zay Flowers, WR, BAL (+145 at DraftKings)
The value on Zay Flowers this far into plus money is simply too good to pass up. Flowers scored 5 touchdowns in his rookie season and 4 of them came in the last 5 games. In the last 2 contests he caught 12 of 16 targets for 178 yards and 2 TDs against San Francisco and Miami. Ravens star tight end Mark Andrews is back from injury and could take up some of Flowers’ workload, but in actuality that could be a good thing for the receiver – especially in the red zone. Andrews probably isn’t 100 percent, but Baltimore can probably use him as a decoy to draw attention from the opposing secondary. Houston finished #23 in the league in passing defense, so its a unit that is vulnerable. All things considered, Flowers has a great chance to tack on yet another touchdown.
