Jim Harbaugh had little interest in a Gatorade soaking after coaching his Michigan Wolverines to a third-straight Big Ten Championship with a win over Iowa on Saturday night.
The under-fire Wolverines are headed to the College Football Playoffs after a trying period that saw Harbaugh serve a three-game suspension for the second time this season.
While they didn’t exactly walk over the Hawkeyes’ defense, Michigan snagged a 26-0 victory that meant a certain bar in Iowa was forced to serve free beer all night.
Harbaugh was not looking for the Gatorade bath treatment after the win and switched on the afterburners once the inevitable was confirmed while some of his players chased him with a cooler of the aforementioned drink.
He was deft enough to escape them.
It’s been a tough season for Harbaugh, but Saturday’s win should offer him some respite if nothing else. He wasn’t about to get wet, however.
