Aaron Rodgers turned down the opportunity to play for a longtime NFL powerhouse in favor of the New York Jets, according to a report.

Ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft in April, the Green Bay Packers traded the longtime franchise star and four-time league MVP to the Jets. Rodgers had announced weeks earlier on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he was joining the Jets, and that the two teams just had to work out trade compensation.

It’s well-known just how much Rodgers wanted to join the Jets. Turns out, so much so that he passed on the opportunity to play for the NFL’s greatest head coach of all-time.

On a recent edition of “The Carton Show” (h/t Paul A. Asden Jr. of Heavy.com), Craig Carton of WFAN and FS1 reported that Rodgers nixed a trade to the Jets’ archrivals, the New England Patriots.
