The Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers meet in game two of their best of seven Eastern Conference finals series in NHL action from Madison Square Garden on Friday.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to even up the series at one win apiece following their 6-2 loss at the hands of the Rangers in game one of the series last time out. Nikita Kucherov has a team-high 15 points with 4 goals and 11 assists while Victor Hedman also has a pair of goals and 8 assists. Ondrej Palat has 9 points with 5 goals and 4 assists while Ross Colton also has 8 points and is one of four Bolts with a team-high 5 goals. Steven Stamkos also has 10 points with 5 goals and 5 assists as well this postseason. Andrei Vasilevskiy has a 8-4 record with an .923 save percentage and a 2.53 GAA this postseason.

The New York Rangers will look to hold serve on home ice and take a 2-0 series lead after their win in game one last time out. Mika Zibanejad leads the Rangers with 21 points including 8 goals and 13 assists while Adam Fox has 20 points with 5 goals and a team-high 15 assists. Andrew Copp has 13 points split between 6 goals and 7 apples while Artemi Panarin also has 13 points with 5 goals and n8 assists and Chris Kreider has 12 points with a team-high 9 goals this postseason. Igor Shesterkin’s gone 9-5 in the postseason with a 2.64 GAA and a .929 save percentage this postseason.

Tampa Bay is 6-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 49-22 in their last 71 games as a favorite while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. New York is 21-5 in their last 26 games against the Atlantic division and 5-2 in their last 7 games following a win while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games as a home underdog.

I get why the Lightning would be favored here. But realistically, I can’t pass up on the value with the Rangers in this one. The Lightning will have to make the adjustments necessary to tie the series up at one, but New York’s been so good at home and I think all of the pressure here is on Tampa Bay to bounce back. MSG is no joke when the building is rocking and the Rangers are at home. Give me New York and the plus money here.
