The Kansas City Chiefs completed their second week of OTAs on Thursday.

Last week’s top play came from rookie receiver Justyn Ross, who came away with a one-handed reception that caught the attention of players like Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. This week’s top play seems to belong to a different Justin.

The Chiefs shared a clip of Justin Reid elevating to intercept a Chad Henne pass to Justin Watson. Henne was filling in as the starting quarterback as Patrick Mahomes missed OTA practice after participating in “The Match” the night prior. Going up against a backup didn’t make Reid’s interception any less impressive, because the beauty of this play was that he really had to go up to get it.

There’s also a lot we can learn from this clip about the current first-team players on both sides of the ball.

Andrew Wylie is starting at right tackle, while Roderick Johnson appears to be filling in at left tackle for Orlando Brown Jr. Derrick Gore was getting starting snaps at running back. Watson and Marquez Valdes-Scantling appeared to be the two receivers out there. On the defensive side of the ball, Reid was alongside Juan Thornhill at safety. You can see Malik Herring at one of the defensive end spots with George Karlaftis at the other. Nick Bolton was manning the middle linebacker spot. You could also see Trent McDuffie and Joshua Williams getting snaps at cornerback.

Keep in mind that these practices are voluntary and not everyone was in attendance. Still, it’s interesting to see the players who are being entrusted with these early snaps during team drills.
