Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones did not participate at Thursday’s practice due to a combination of an illness and knee injury.

Jones was limited on Wednesday with just a knee injury. He added the illness – which is not considered to be COVID-19 related – on Thursday.

The Packers will practice again on Friday and release official injury designations on the final injury report later in the day. The team plays the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Jones got shaken up during the Packers’ win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. It’s unclear if his knee injury is related to the sprained MCL that caused him to miss a game last month.

Over 12 games, Jones has 927 total yards and nine total touchdowns.

If Jones can’t go on Sunday against the Ravens, backup A.J. Dillon – who actually leads the team in rushing yards – would take over the bulk of the touches at running back.

Jones’ illness is not COVID-19 (at least as of now) because he was not placed on the reserve list. Defensive lineman Kenny Clark was placed on the reserve list on Thursday and could miss Sunday’s game.
