The Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in an NL Central division matchup in MLB action from American Family Field on Wednesday.

The Chicago Cubs will look to build on an 8-3 win over the Brewers from Tuesday’s matchup. Entering Tuesday’s game, Willson Contreras has 71 hits, 13 home runs and a .274 batting average while Patrick Wisdom also has 17 home runs, 45 RBIs and 15 doubles on the year. Ian Happ also has a team-high 77 hits with 20 doubles of his own and a .283 batting average as well on the year. Adrian Sampson will start here and is 0-0 with a 3.38 ERA and 14 strikeouts this season.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to rebound and salvage the rubber match after their loss to the Cubs in Tuesday’s matchup. Heading into Tuesday’s matchup, Rowdy Tellez has 16 home runs and 53 RBIs while Hunter Renfroe has 13 homers as well and Willy Adames also has 16 home runs. Renfroe has a .247 batting average and Adames has 45 RBIs. Christian Yelich also has 76 hits with 11 doubles and 31 RBIs this season. Corbin Burnes will start here and is 7-4 with a 2.36 ERA and 124 strikeouts this season.

Chicago is 3-10 in their last 13 road games and 2-5 in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning record while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. Milwaukee is 7-2 in their last 9 games overall and 25-11 in their last 36 division games while the over is 9-2-1 in their last 12 games overall.

I get the case to be made either way here as I don’t love this price, but I’m going to side with Milwaukee -1.5 here. If there’s one place teams can get to Corbin Burnes this year, it’s been at home, but he still only has an ERA just over three at home and the Cubs aren’t the kind of team to take advantage of an edge like that. Sure, Chicago got the better of Burnes back in early May, but these two teams have drifted big time since then and the majority of Milwaukee’s wins at home over the Cubs this season have been by two plus runs. Give me Milwaukee -1.5 here.
