Good news for folks interested in purchasing Dan Snyder’s fancy mansion Potomac mansion.

Per Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post, the former Washington Commanders’ owner dropped the asking price of his lucrative home by $14 million. The home five-bedroom/10-bathroom home that measures 30,000 in square feet is now available for $34.9 million.

According to the mansion’s listing on Realtor.com, the initial asking price back on Feb. 6 was $49 million. In 2021 alone, the home carried a ginormous property tax of $17.113 million, so the next buyer better be prepared for a hefty bill there.

Last month, NFL owners officially approved of Snyder’s decision to sell the Commanders to a group led by Josh Harris for $6.05 billion. This set the record for the most expensive purchase for an American-based sports team. Harris is also the owner of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.

Snyder bought the franchise in 1999 and owned them for 24 years. A once-proud franchise that won three Super Bowl under legendary head coach Joe Gibbs quickly sunk to dysfunction and misery under Snyder.

The Commanders went 2-6 in playoff games under Snyder’s guidance, having last won a postseason contest back in the 2005 season. He compiled a miserable 164-220-2 record over his 24 seasons as the owner.

But finally, Commanders fans can be excited about a brand new era of football led by Harris.
