The Kansas City Royals and the Detroit Tigers meet in an AL Central division matchup in MLB action from Comerica Park on Saturday.

The Kansas City Royals will look to bounce back from a 5-4 loss at the hands of the Tigers in Friday’s matchup. Entering Friday, Salvador Perez has 19 home runs and 63 RBIs as well as 17 doubles and Hunter Dozier has 23 doubles as well as 3 triples and Bobby Witt Jr. has 22 doubles as well on the year. Witt Jr. also has a team-high 6 triples with 19 home runs and 66 RBIs as well this season. Jonathan Heasley will start here and is 2-7 with a 5.22 ERA and 55 strikeouts this season.

The Detroit Tigers will look to pick up back-to-back wins after their triumph over KC on Friday. Going into Friday’s game, Jonathan Schoop has 9 home runs while Javier Baez has 11 homers, with Schoop logging 20 doubles and 34 RBIs. Baez also has a team-high 24 doubles and 47 RBIs while Miguel Cabrera has 92 hits, a .258 batting average and 37 RBIs. Jeimer Candelario also has 12 homers and 42 RBIs this season. Michael Pineda will start here and is 2-6 with a 5.27 ERA and 23 strikeouts this season.

Kansas City is 21-43 in their last 64 road games and 5-11 in their last 16 games overall while the under is 8-3 in their last 11 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400. Detroit is 14-34 in their last 48 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 home games while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games against a team with a right-handed starter.

I’m not going near a side here as Jonathan Heasley’s been a dumpster fire for much of the season while Detroit’s offense is so sporadic that it’s hard to trust this team on a game-to-game basis. Instead, I’m going to side with the over here as I’m expecting Heasley to give up a few and for Kansas City to get to Pineda and if the starters don’t get us there, the Bullpens surely will. Give me the over here.
