Alen Babic -450 vs Adam Balski +300

  • London – DAZN

Babic versus Balski should be one of the weekend’s most competitive boxing matches. Balski has gone 16-1 with 9 knockout wins. The underdog won his last fight via unanimous decision.

But although Balski has a very good record, Saturday is his first bout since 2013 outside his native Poland. The +300 underdog may not be as talented as his record indicates. Also, Babic is 10-0 with 10 knockout wins. Babic’s last 10 boxing matches happened in the United Kingdom. The chalk wins.

Boxing Pick: Alen Babic

Jamaine Ortiz -245 vs Jamel Herring +195

  • Las Vegas – ESPN / ESPN+

One of Saturday’s most anticipated bouts pits veteran Jamel Herring versus undefeated Jamaine Ortiz. The chalk in this will head into the ring with a 15-0-1 record. 8 of Ortiz’s 15 wins came via knockout.

Herring lost his last bout via a tenth round technical knockout. But the loss happened against Shakur Stevenson. Shakur is a pound-for-pound best. There’s a real chance Herring bounces back from the loss and reminds everyone why before Stevenson, many considered him one of the best in the super featherweight division. At the odds, Jamel is worth backing.

Boxing Pick: Jamel Herring

Danny Dignum +625 vs Janibek Alimkhanuly -1300

14-0-1 with 8 knockout victories, southpaw Danny Dignum hopes to hand 11-0 Janibek Alimkhanuly his first loss. Dignum is a very good boxer. So he should fight competitively in this.

But Dignum, like so many boxers, fights with his elbows flared. His elbows are never close to his body, which means Dignum gives up space for his opponents to body punches. Also, by flaring his elbows, Dignum doesn’t throw with as much power as he could.

That’s a recipe for disaster versus the chalk. Alimkhanuly should have no trouble winning this fight.

Boxing Pick: Janibek Alimkhanuly

Yoelvis Gomez -2000 vs Jorge Cota +750

  • Phoenix – Showtime

Cota is 30-5 with 27 knockout wins. He’s a huge underdog because Gomez, although just 5-0, has knocked out all five of his opponents.

Yoelvis figures to dominate this fight. Cota has much more experience, but Cota’s style plays right into Gomez’s hands. Jorge loves to brawl and although he’s got power, it’s not close to the favorites. Look for a knockout prop.

Boxing Pick: Yoelvis Gomez

David Benavidez -1800 vs David Lemieux +800

Knockout artist David Benavidez is 25-0 with 22 technical knockout or knockout wins. Benavidez has incredible power. But in his last couple of bouts, he’s had to win by wearing down his opponents.

Lemieux hasn’t lost since 2017. The last loss happened versus Billy Joe Saunders, a very good boxer. Since the loss, Lemieux has won 5 straight.

No doubt, Lemieux is the best boxer Benavidez has ever faced. Because of his power, the chalk has a tendency to fight flat-footed. Lemieux also has power, he’s won 36 of his 43 wins via TKO or KO. At the odds, the underdog is worth a look.

Boxing Pick: David Lemieux
