As we head towards the end of spring and the start of summer months, one thing is guaranteed, and that is baseball. Many great games are going on this week, with plenty of good series coming up. Let’s look at a few games on our radar, and one’s to consider betting on so you can place your bets against the MLB Odds

MLB Weekend Games To Bet On | April 22nd Edition

Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Diego Padres

One series that we have been looking forward to watching all offseason will kick off the weekend. The Los Angeles Dodgers travel to San Diego to take on the Padres. It is the first of three games for the two teams on the weekend. We expect the Dodgers to be favored in this game.

One of the best pitchers for the Dodgers the past two seasons, Julio Urias, will be starting the game on Friday. It has been a rough start to the 2022 season for Urias, with a 3.86 ERA and an 0-1 record. After losing two of their first three games, the Dodgers have won eight of their last nine.

Nick Martinez will take the mound for the Padres this evening. Like Urias, it has not been the ideal start to the season for Martinez through two starts. He brings a 4.50 ERA with an 0-1 record. In 10 innings of work, Martinez has given up 12 hits.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Cincinnati Reds

The St. Louis Cardinals will take on the Cincinnati Reds in Cincinnati on Saturday. The Friday game will be challenging to bet on because of the pitching matchup. The Friday matchup will be between Steven Matz and Hunter Greene. We are looking at the Saturday game, which may not be as good of a pitching matchup.

On Saturday, Dakota Hudson will start for the St. Louis Cardinals. Hudson is coming off Tommy John’s surgery and has struggled in his return. He has pitched twice in the year and holds a 0-1 record with a 7.71 ERA. One would think that Hudson is due for a good outing this time around.

The Cincinnati Reds have been miserable so far this season. The Reds have lost nine straight games with a current record of 2-11 on the season. The season did not get any better after their owner made ridiculous comments about their fans. The Reds will need big performances from their pitchers in this series against St. Louis.

We like the St. Louis Cardinals in this series.

Boston Red Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays

Our last series is a big AL East matchup featuring two teams that could be the division champion at the night’s end. Michael Wacha and Corey Kluber are set to face off in the first game on Friday. Both pitchers have great numbers on the year.

Boston currently trails the Rays by one game in the standings, but both teams trail the Toronto Blue Jays. It is early in the season, but Boston has struggled early on. They have got the complete performances from their entire team as they would have hoped.

The Tampa Bay Rays are certainly not the team they have been the past few seasons, but they are in a prime position to make another run. They have a lot of young talent but could afford pitching help. THIS YEAR, the AL East is up for grabs, and Tampa Bay should be in the mix.

We like the Tampa Bay Rays in this series.
