The Los Angeles Rams are the current Super Bowl champions and the road to repeating is never easy. Besides having a target on their back from teams that want to defeat the reigning champions, it just so happens that the Rams are expected to have a grueling schedule in 2022.

According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Rams are slated to have the third-toughest schedule in the NFL next season based on projected win totals from oddsmakers in 2022.

Ever since the end of last season, we’ve known who the Rams will face in 2022. Los Angeles will face the San Francisco 49ers, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Seattle Seahawks twice due to them residing in the NFC West.

Every team in the NFL is required to play against a division within their conference and outside of their conference. The Rams will get an opportunity to square off with the NFC South next season, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear to be the only legitimate threat in that division.

Meanwhile, the Rams will be tasked with going up against the revamped AFC West in 2022. The Denver Broncos acquired Russell Wilson, the Los Angeles Chargers traded for Khalil Mack and signed J.C. Jackson, the Las Vegas Raiders landed Davante Adams via trade and inked a deal with Chandler Jones, and the Kansas City Chiefs still have Patrick Mahomes despite trading Tyreek Hill.

With the AFC West being on the Rams’ schedule, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they have the third-toughest slate next season. Given the fact that Sean McVay still remains the head coach and Matthew Stafford is under center, there’s no reason Los Angeles can’t overcome their schedule again in 2022.
