The Indianapolis Colts still have to get through their most important game this week against the New England Patriots, but their Week 16 opponent in the Arizona Cardinals could very well be without a star player.

As the Cardinals prepare for a playoff run, it seems they are shutting down star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who is dealing with a sprained knee. He has already been ruled out for Week 15 and could miss the Week 16 game against the Colts on Christmas.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hopkins is expected to miss the rest of the regular season but seeing as it isn’t official, it’s best to wait on the official word from the team when it comes to his status for the game against the Colts.

Regardless of how the game against the Patriots goes on Saturday this week, the Christmas game against the Cardinals will be a major statement opportunity for the Colts.

In 10 games this season, Hopkins has 42 receptions on 63 targets for 572 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

We will dive more into it when that week comes around, but it appears the Cardinals offense will be without a star player.
