Although the overwhelming majority of college football prospects ink a letter of intent in the early signing period, a handful of key players remain on the board.

In the 2023 recruiting cycle, only six top-150 talents are still uncommitted. While a couple of them might actually have signed in December—more on that shortly—they've exited the early window publicly unattached.

Decisions may be revealed during All-American games in January, but some players might wait until February's traditional signing day. They may need additional time to make a choice, too.

One thing is clear, though: These six players are officially the most coveted prospects in the nation

Mikal Harrison-Pilot

Although most players sign during the early window, prospects will occasionally wait to announce their decision at one of the All-Star showcases in January.

Mikal Harrison-Pilot will be a headliner in 2023.

A 4-star from Texas, he's the No. 150 player in the country. Harrison-Pilot has officially visited Cal, Houston, TCU and Texas, though he most recently traveled to Houston and TCU in December. He's set to announce at the All-American Bowl, per Steve Wilftong of 247Sports.

Harrison-Pilot would be the highest-rated player in Houston's class or third-best prospect in TCU's haul.
