2025 NFL Pro Bowl Predictions, AFC vs NFC Best Bets and Flag Football Odds: NFC going for 3 straight

Before the Super Bowl kicks off on February 9, next up on the NFL calendar is the annual Pro Bowl. It’s not what it once was, of course. The actual Pro Bowl game is flag football now, and it is preceded by a whole host of skills challenges such as dodgeball, tug-of-war, satisfying catches, a relay race and more. Sunday’s flag football showdown pits the NFC and coach Eli Manning against the AFC and coach Peyton Manning. Eli’s NFC squad is going for a 3-peat, just as the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to do against the Philadelphia Eagles.

What is the format of the 2025 Pro Bowl?

This year’s Pro Bowl is once again 7-on-7 flag football. The 4-quarter game will be played on a 50-yard field with a 10-yard end zone. Following a touchdown, the scoring team can either go for a 1-point conversion from the 5-yard line or a 2-point conversion from the 10-yard line.  The format changed from its standard football game starting with the 2022 season.

Eli’s NFC roster features quarterbacks Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold. Among their teammates are Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Justin Jefferson, Micah Parsons and Nick Bosa. Peyton’s AFC roster includes QBs Joe Burrow, Drake Maye and Russell Wilson in addition to Ja’Marr Chase, Myles Garrett, Trey Hendrickson and Joey Bosa.

2025 Pro Bowl best bet: AFC ML over NFC (-110)

I’m going with the AFC to be victorious in the 2025 Pro Bowl Flag Football game. This is, of course, a relative crapshoot that is almost certain to be a competitive contest. That’s why I’m not worried at all about the AFC’s 2-game losing streak in this flag football competition. Peyton Manning’s squad fell 35-33 in 2022 and 64-59 last season. If anything, the AFC should be the slightly more motivated squad to actually win the game. It’s all fun and games, of course, but sibling rivalries are real. Peyton probably wants the W and his guys probably want it for him, if only to keep the overall head-to-head matchup interesting at 2-1 in Eli’s favor – giving the NFL something to hype heading into next year’s Pro Bowl.

“The Pro Bowl Games are all about having fun,” Peyton said in a press release. “It’s always unpredictable, and we get to bring fans into the action and see the NFL’s biggest names compete. And the best part about this year’s games is knowing that my AFC team is going to end Eli’s 2-year run of luck with the NFC.”

With Joe Burrow under center and looking to cap off his phenomenal season on a high, it’s certainly possible!
