NFL Week 10 parlay at mega +1029 odds on Sunday 11/10: Steelers, Texans have upset potential

PICKWISE

Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season began in electric fashion, as the Baltimore Ravens outlasted the AFC North Cincinnati Bengals 35-34 on Thursday Night Football. Sunday’s lineup promises more entertainment. The schedule is headlined in part by Steelers vs Commanders, Eagles vs Cowboys and Lions vs Texans.

Below is my mega parlay, and also be sure to check out all of our NFL picks.

Steelers ML (+126)

Chiefs -8 (-112)

Texans ML (+164)

NFL parlay odds: +1029

For this parlay I am going with 2 underdogs on the money line and 1 favorite against an alternate spread. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Pittsburgh Steelers ML over Washington Commanders (+126)

It is true that Jayden Daniels has been awesome for the Commanders this season and has the franchise going in the right direction. In fact, Washington will probably go head and make the playoffs in 2024. However, the home team has its work cut out for it this weekend. Pittsburgh is sixth in the league in defensive EPA (-0.08 EPA) and is giving up a a mere 14.9 points per game (second fewest in the NFL). The Steelers are #4 against the run (90.5 yards per game allowed), which will help them contain a Washington outfit that is third in rushing with 163.9 yards per contest. Russell Wilson has Pittsburgh’s offense in decent enough form, so this team as a whole has become well rounded. Moreover, head coach Mike Tomlin is historically excellent following a bye and dominant against rookie quarterbacks. It would not be shocking if the underdog Steelers win this one outright.

Kansas City Chiefs -8 over Denver Broncos (-112)

The Chiefs engineered another great escape on Monday Night Football in Week 9, surviving an overtime thriller against the Bucs. Kansas City isn’t dominating with frequency, but 8-0 is 8-0. They are the best team in the NFL – and when the best team in the NFL plays at home against a middle-of-the-road opponent, it probably won’t be competitive. I think K.C.’s trend of nailbiters comes to an end on Sunday in the form of a convincing win. DeAndre Hopkins’ arrival has been everything head coach Andy Reid and company could have hoped for and more. Hopkins caught 8 of 9 targets for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns against Tampa Bay. Travis Kelce continued to bounce back from his slow start to the season by making 14 receptions for 100 yards. As for Denver, it has compiled a respectable 5-4 record against teams like the Jets, Raiders, Saints and Panthers. The Broncos did beat the Bucs earlier this year, but the rest of those opponents stink. Don’t be surprised if the visitors are in for a rude awakening at Arrowhead Stadium.

Houston Texans ML over Detroit Lions (+164)

Detroit is probably the best team in the NFC, but facing Houston on the road is no joke. Although the Texans lost to the Jets in their most recent outing, the good news is that it was on Thursday Night Football in Week 9. A 10-day break helps. Despite that result, CJ Stroud and company are 6-3. Their offensive line has been an issue, but at least that unit doesn’t have to go up against Lions star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson. Stroud should have some time to throw the ball – and when he does, bad things usually happen for opposing defenses. This is the second consecutive road contest for the Lions and their fourth in the last 5 weeks. I wouldn’t be stunned if it’s a letdown spot following a big win over the NFC North rival Packers.
